Rachel Plumley
Visual Technician
Rachel was raised in Calvert County, MD. She attended Northern High School where she participated in the color guard for three years, serving as captain her senior year.
From there she attended Towson University, receiving a degree in both Audiology and Deaf Studies. She was an active member of the Towson University Color Guard for four years and was section leader her final year. She is currently taking classes towards her Doctorate of Audiology at Gallaudet University.
During the summers of 2023 and 2024, Rachel marched with The Cadets making her a member of the last age-out class of the corps. In 2024, she held a spot on the feature flag line.
Rachel’s winter guard experience started with Field of View in 2020. From there she marched with Towson University Winter Guard in 2022 and George Mason University World Guard in 2023. Her proudest achievement is participating in Fusion Winter Guard 2024 show “So Fair, So Sweet, So Sharp” as a member of the dance line, where they won the WGI World Class gold medal.
Having decided to retire from active marching, Rachel is now looking forward to experiencing the marching world from the perspective of an educator. In the fall, she works with the Calvert High School Marching Band in Calvert County, MD.
Rachel is very excited to experience the percussion side of WGI and to help Old Line develop its new visual line.
